- U.S. Pulls Peacekeepers. Prudent Step Or Petulant Response?
-- The two operations from which the U.S. is pulling troops are in Kosovo and Eritrea. The numbers of U.S. personnel being pulled is not particularly significant - a total of nine U.S. servicemen are being reassigned. However, the message being sent is that, if you insist on holding our servicemen responsible in your court and you do not believe we would take responsibility for prosecuting crimes, then you can do without our servicemen and women.
