- Obuchi Set to Propose UN Reform at Summit
-- (June 16, 1999) According to this article from the Yomiuri Shimbun, Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi plans on proposing UN reforms at the G8 Summit in Cologne, Germany, starting June 18. Obuchi's proposals come in response to the Security Council's failure to agree on a common policy at the outset of the Kosovo crisis.
