Switching from cx to ld

So, i just got back from state cx ( we were four speaker points away from breaking ahhhhhh) but anywho, i decided i wanted to try ld for the hell of it at district, which is next week big_smile
I already have my cases and such ready, but i was just wondering what the main diff's between cx and ld are, and if theres anything that we do in cx that is frowned upon in ld?
Oh, and is a counter warrent kinda of like a counter plan?
And do LD judges have paradigms too?
Thanks a ton<3

Re: Switching from cx to ld

You can't do LD for district if you did CX for district.

Re: Switching from cx to ld

Okay so in LD obv. know that you can debate values, and criterions, and in Policy you debate [Censored Word], well in LD there is something called Tech debate, where you debate LD but with Solvency, Harms and Impacts, also you can read Kritiks and Disads as arguments too, its really cool!
